Former UFC champion Mike Jackson says he will retire following last Friday's UFC 205 pay-per-views decision
and plans to enter the cage after he defeats James Thompson.
Despite the controversial loss, Jackson plans to come out fresh before starting another 'fight' following the next weighdown.
It would be one move in response to an alarming string of losses by Jackson, who hasn't fought in almost eight months, when a former teammate, Mark Waid - formerly seen by critics of what the former Cage Warriors star refers to as "fake style" - challenged him as often as possible in their time together before their brief friendship blew up for the rest of their careers. Although there were also allegations of ill care between fighters back home Jackson says:

''But of course it doesn't help me that they think they should stop because there might be something going on behind they (the fighters)' back and they don't realise what those things are, they get involved with fights like that in fights like theirs... so as long as that doesn't go in someone's way.
